Named after Karl Meltzer and the famous Speedgoat 50k, the HOKA ONE ONE Speedgoat 2 is a maximal trail running shoe built to run fast over any distance.

Built with the ultra marathoner in mind, the shoe features an oversized EVA midsole that provides a highly cushioned underfoot experience. While the shoe has no rockplate, the large midsole design offers a soft ride with plenty of protection to withstand stone bruising.

The shoe also uses a Vibram Megagrip outsole with 5mm lugs in order to provide durability and traction on anything from light to technical terrain. In order to keep your feet locked in on tough descents, the shoe offers a new engineered mesh upper that is adaptable yet creates a secure midfoot fit. Paired with an even wider platform, the shoe creates a more stable base while also offering a wider fitting toe box.
